Thank you for all your support this year and can’t wait to be back in the new year with new classes and new crafts.
I’m so excited to release my new weaving video to give you little sneak into how my workshops run.
Thank you to Helen Plumb for creating the beautiful film and to Ruairí Rowan-O’Connor for putting together a piece of music that matches the flow of weaving so well. Thank you and enjoy xx
So its my turn on the blog tour of Wendy Ward’s new book ‘A Beginners Guide to Making Skirts’, you can read an interview with Wendy all about her book here. I didn’t realise at the time but Wendy has a sewing school, MiY Workshop which I walk past every day to work so it’s so nice to be able to take part in one of her creations even if its not in person.
I was kindly sent her new book from Cico books and some gorgeous fabric from Fabworks online which is beautiful, its so soft and can’t wait to be able to wear it. Unfortunately I am still in the process of making my piece and so will show you when its all done. I decided to make the Roehampton Culottes. I have never really made any pieces of clothing before so this should be interesting. It seems to be going ok so far.
The book is really informative and great for a beginner like me, it has step by steps on each process. The books starts with the easiest project and they get slightly harder as you work your way through. At the back of the book it goes in to more detail on specific challenges, for example how to measure yourself correctly to be able to sew the correct fit. I can’t wait to wear my culottes.

Recently the kind people at Etsy got in touch about their new campaign that they are running, #DifferenceMakesUs. The campaign is to see what makes us unique and which pieces you choose from Etsy to define your style and personality. I have taken a few pics of what I think defines my style at the moment which I bought from Etsy. You can see the links to their shops below. Check out the hashtag above and let me know what you think is defining your style at the moment.
