A little rug hooking

I recently came across the work of Rose Pearlman and became obsessed with her recent work using the rug hooking technique. It's so beautiful yet simple and desperately wanted to give it a go. I had tried a punch needle technique nearly two years ago now, you can see this sample I made here, but this was different. Definitely with chunky wool! 

I treated myself to one of her kits that came with everything to get started and this it my first piece. Its definitely not great but I cannot wait to start my next one to learn this technique. I have big plans for this.
