Clay Wall Hanging

I’ve been slowly cleaning out the weaving room which will soon be turned into the nursery and I keep finding half finished projects. I found these clay shapes that I made over a year ago when I used to go to pottery. I never made them into the wall hanging I had big ideas for so I thought I would give it a crack.

I started out by laying them out in an order that worked. I thought I would add in some wooden beads to break up the textures. I had wire or cotton that I could tie them all together. I went with the cotton as it was just that little bit more flexible.

I’m now excited to hang this in the babies room, once I find space for all these looms!
